The Saudi Arabia GP is next on the calendar and teams and drivers are on their way to the Middle East. Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen looks ahead to the second race of the F1 season. He won the first one easily, but in Jeddah, that remains to be seen, according to the Dutchman.
The two-time world champion is already pencilled in favorite for the 2023 world championship after just one race. That is because he won the Bahrain GP with such supremacy that the competition could only watch anxiously. For the upcoming race at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Verstappen expects a less dominant race.

Verstappen expects strong car, but no repeat of Bahrain

So he says in a press statement: "After a great start in Bahrain I don’t expect it to be an easy task in Jeddah, it is a completely different circuit and needs the car to be quick. Nevertheless, with the high-speed corners, I do believe we can have a strong car around this track." Red Bull Racing is certainly expected to fight for victory, but perhaps this weekend Ferrari or Aston Martin will manage to get a little closer to the Dutchman and his teammate Sergio Perez.
Verstappen is looking forward to the spectacular race on the fast track, but hopes for better safety: "The track changes that have been made are mainly for visibility, so hopefully it has improved things a bit for us drivers, as it was definitely dangerous in some areas."
