While Max Verstappen will start the São Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil later this Sunday from the pit lane, the Red Bull Racing driver does have an advantage in one area.
Verstappen has access to a wide array of fresh tyre sets, allowing him to execute virtually any possible strategy, despite the four-time world champion officially starting from the pit lane due to an engine change.
Red Bull has one new set of hard tyres, two new sets of mediums, and three brand-new sets of softs available for the Dutchman. Naturally, this stems from his early exit in qualifying.
Pole sitter Lando Norris and teammate Oscar Piastri both have one new set of softs and one new set of mediums left for the race, along with Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc, who sit between the two of them in P2 and P3, respectively.

The possible strategies in Brazil

Pirelli has outlined five possible scenarios and strategies for the Grand Prix, with the Italian tyre supplier expecting to see many start the race on the red-walled soft tyre, then changing onto the yellow-walled medium tyres.
Pirelli anticipates that most teams will opt for that one-stop strategy, while others may visit the pit lane twice and try an alternate strategy.
