Having extended his championship lead to twelve points, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is looking to extend his lead even further during the doubleheader at the Red Bull ring. Despite the heated battle with Hamilton, the Dutchman is not playing mental games, or capitalising on his rival's mindset, he revealed in an interview.
To the journalists of Sky F1 Verstappen responded when asked if he thinks Hamilton is getting distracted by focusing too much on Red Bull. He doesn't seem to want to get anywhere near this question, instead answering: "Everyone is different and reacts to things differently."
In any case, the Dutchman is not falling into the same trap his rival has been accused of falling into. He again stresses maximising his own result as a priority. "My job is to work with the team and do the best possible," Verstappen said.

The driver was also asked about his view on the Silverstone Grand Prix, which was recently announced to be hosted with fans present. Verstappen: "It's always amazing to race in Silverstone. It's a great track and some corners are flat out now. It also has a great history."
