Verstappen “can’t wait” for pre-season testing after positive first day in RB16

The Dutchman debuted the Milton Keynes squads 2020 challenger Wednesday at Silverstone for its first shakedown during a filming day.

In a video posted on Red Bull’s Twitter account Verstappen said: “I just finished my filming day and first day in the RB16.

“It was very positive. It’s important to get the car running and check all the bits on the car that it is all working before we head to Barcelona. I can’t wait to be there.”

Teammate Alex Albon didn’t get the chance to try out the new RB16 but will make his first appearance behind the wheel at winter testing.

All 10 teams will meet in Barcelona for three days from February 19-21 and 26-28 to test out their cars ahead of the season opening race in Melbourne on March 15.
