Max Verstappen can write history this weekend by becoming the first Dutchman ever to win the Formula 1 world championship. He will have to deal with seven times world champion Lewis Hamilton. For the first time this season the two title rivals sat side by side at the press conference prior to the race weekend in Abu Dhabi.
It is pointed out that there is a lot of talk in the press about a possible all decisive crash. The question for the drivers is whether they would be content with winning the championship in such a way.

Drivers don't think about a possible crash beforehand

"As a driver you don't think about those things and as a team you just want to do your best," replied Verstappen. "If the media says those things, I have nothing to say about that. I just come here to try and do the best I can."
Hamilton concurs. "I have nothing to add to that. I have no influence on what happens around me, only on what I do myself. We never thought we would be neck and neck in the last race. We made an incredible recovery. We're not going to waste energy on things we can't control," said the Mercedes driver.
