Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur looks back on qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix with satisfaction. He saw Carlos Sainz capture pole position for the second weekend in a row. Charles Leclerc grabbed the third starting position. Vasseur thanks his team for their hard work and looks ahead to the race.

'Everyone at Ferrari has done a very good job'

Ferrari has been sitting pretty in every session at the Marina Bay circuit. In qualifying too, another Ferrari driver topped the timesheet. "This pole position and our overall qualifying performance is down to the fact that every aspect of this weekend has gone well with all the team, both at the track and back in Maranello, doing a very good job right from free practice," Vasseur began.
As in Monza, the differences in qualifying were small. In Singapore, the gap between Sainz and Leclerc was just 0.079 seconds. Despite the strong qualifying result, the Ferrari team boss is keeping a guard up for the race: "It will be a long race tomorrow and strategy management will be key," Vasseur says. "We will focus on our race, on tyre management, paying attention to the slightest detail at every point in the race, while being ready to take advantage if any of our competitors slip up."
