The 57-year-old, speaking via Sky Sports Italia, expressed optimism about his team’s prospects for the upcoming season. Vasseur also highlighted how he expects Lewis Hamilton to be well acclimatised to the team after his challenging debut year.
“We will start 2026 in better shape because Lewis [Hamilton] knows the team. He is much better than he was a year ago. He has a good knowledge of every single software and every single tool of the team. We'll do a better job,” he said.

The Ferrari team endured a challenging 2025 campaign, failing to record a Grand Prix victory throughout the season. The Maranello outfit’s sole triumph came during the Sprint race of the Chinese Grand Prix.

Leclerc signals uncertainty for 2026

While Vasseur is confident of an improvement in 2026, Charles Leclerc expressed a more cautious approach when asked whether the Italian team is in a much stronger position compared to 2022.
The Monegasque highlighted that several teams are also uncertain about what to expect with the regulation changes.
The 2022 regulation changes saw Leclerc and the Ferrari team get off to a strong start, with the 28-year-old and then-teammate Carlos Sainz clinching the top two spots during the season-opening Grand Prix in Bahrain.
