Charles Leclerc remains uncertain about Scuderia Ferrari’s prospects as Formula 1 prepares for sweeping regulation changes in 2026. “I have no idea. Nobody knows…”
- Charles LeclercSpeaking with GPblog, the Monegasque was asked whether he believes the Ferrari outfit will be in a much stronger position compared to the regulation changes at the start of 2022. Leclerc, however, was quick to offer a measured response, highlighting the uncertainty facing many teams heading into 2026.
“I have no idea. Nobody knows where the others are; there are so many unknowns. I’d rather not speak and wait until next year, in the first few races, to see where we are. In the meantime, we’ll just focus on the project and try to work in the best possible way, and we’ll see,” Leclerc said.
The 2026 season will see one of the biggest overhauls in the sport’s history. Significant changes will be made to the power units, chassis, and aerodynamics of the cars for the new campaign.

These modifications are poised to shake up the competitive order, with every team tight-lipped about their prospects for next season.
Vasseur says Ferrari must be clever in 2026
The 57-year-old, pointing to cost cap limitations, stressed that the team will need to be meticulous regarding the introduction of updates to its car.
Vasseur hinted that updates may be introduced more at European races compared to flyaway events. The Ferrari team announced it will launch its 2026 car on 23 January.
