Lando Norris has shared behind-the-scenes images from his appearance at the recent FIA Gala. The
McLaren driver, who won the 2025 drivers’ championship, took to his social media to share a carousel capturing moments from his outing at the event in Tashkent.
The collection featured snapshots from his preparation for the gala through the ceremony itself, and wrapped it up with a picture of himself with the
Formula 1 drivers’ title.

Accompanying the series of photos, Norris added the caption:
“the night I’d waited for my whole life.”
The 2025
F1 season witnessed Norris clinch the drivers’ championship with a two-point advantage over
Max Verstappen. The British driver also beat his McLaren team-mate
Oscar Piastri, who led the drivers’ standings for 15 rounds, by 13 points.
The title triumph for Norris saw him become the 11th British driver and marked the first for the Woking-based outfit since Lewis Hamilton in the 2008 season.
Montoya aims a jab at Norris
The former F1 driver stressed that any driver could have won the F1 championship in that McLaren machinery. The 50-year-old, while admitting Norris is a worthy champion, compared his achievement to several previous McLaren drivers, buttressing how largely the car made a difference for Norris.
Norris achieved what he dubs his lifelong dream with a third-place finish at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The McLaren driver also claimed as many as seven race victories en route to his championship success.
