Valtteri Bottas finished the Belgian Grand Prix 3rd after qualifying 4th. Ferrari were faster than Mercedes this weekend and the Finn will be pleased with a podium finish.
Ferrari were faster all weekend and at the end of the day the race was damage limitation for Mercedes.
"The race pace felt OK, just as we were expecting, but Ferrari were ahead from the beginning and they were strong on the straights. There was no chance for me but I was trying as hard as I could," Bottas said to Sky Sports.
"We took the advantage of saving the engine and the gearbox in the end for the next few races."
