This weekend, the C3 will be used as the soft compound. The C2 is the medium tyre, and the C1 is the hard tyre. The medium is predicted to be around 1.2 seconds slower than the soft tyre. For the hard tyre, the difference is 1.6 seconds.
The fastest tyre strategies for the Bahrain Grand Prix

Pirelli recommend using the soft tyre a lot. The fastest option seems to be a soft-hard-soft, but a soft-hard strategy is also a fast option. A one-stop is not an option, according to Pirelli.
A three-stop is an option. The driver would then have to start on soft, then change to the hard tyre between laps 9 and 14, before changing back to the soft tyre between lap 27 and lap 33. Between lap 40 and lap 46, the driver would then have to come back in for the final change to soft. The final option proposed by Pirelli is a soft-soft-medium. Whether this is a realistic option may soon become clear.
