Guenther Steiner spoke about who should partner Max Verstappen at Red Bull in 2026 and who is expected to race for Racing Bulls. “I think Hadjar should go in the Red Bull”
- Guenther SteinerAppearing on the Red Flags podcast, the former Haas team principal immediately delivered a surprising verdict: “I think Hadjar should go in the Red Bull.”
The Italian-American then elaborated further on his statement: “Hajar is doing a very good job. I like Yuki. I like him as a person. But in the end, it’s about business.”
Steiner then suggested that Arvid Lindblad deserves a chance as early as next year at Racing Bulls: “That’s what Racing Bulls is there for—to develop young drivers. And if he sticks to that one, that’s what should happen. See what Lindblad can do.”

However, given his young age, Steiner also believes that another year in F2 wouldn’t hurt him: “That wouldn’t be a bad thing as well. I must admit that one because he’s still very young. He has got all the time available. I think that would be better than being a reserve driver, to be honest.”
As for Tsunoda, the Merano-born manager believes the Japanese driver could make his mark at Aston Martin with Honda’s return: “I think you can find a home as a reserve driver at Aston Martin. See what’s happening there, with Honda coming.”
Marko sees room for improvements in Hadjar amid Red Bull rumors
A few days ago, Helmut Marko stated that a decision on the final line-ups for both Red Bull and Racing Bulls will be made later, and that now is not the right time.
In his first season so far as a rookie, Hadjar has shown great promise, securing several points finishes and even a podium at Zandvoort following Lando Norris’s retirement.
