Start of the British GP | Verstappen takes lead after flying start

The British Grand Prix is underway and Max Verstappen has got away well. The Dutchman immediately takes the lead of the race, but he will have to defend his first place after the red flag.

Verstappen got away extremely well on the soft tyres, leaving poleman Sainz immediately behind. Lewis Hamilton meanwhile managed to overtake Charles Leclerc for third place. At the back of the field, however, things went wrong and the first red flag of the race was a fact.

The red flag means we will see another start. Verstappen will therefore start the race for a second time, but this time from the lead. Because of the red flag the drivers can change tyres.
