In recent years, many new, young drivers have entered Formula 1, but there are also still a number of veterans driving around, including Sergio Perez. The Mexican doesn't plan however on sticking on for another ten years.
At the end of 2020, it seemed that Sergio Perez would have to say goodbye to Formula 1, despite having just scored the first victory of his career. However Red Bull Racing decided to acquire to the Mexican's skills, which were very important at times in 2021. Consequently, this earned him a new contract for 2022.
But how long will Sergio Perez stay in Formula 1? In any case, the Red Bull driver is not planning to continue driving for another decade and match Kimi Raikkonen.
"I don't see myself staying in the sport for that long, but I'm still very motivated at the moment. I never had the opportunity to drive for a top team before and I'm only 32. I still have my best years ahead of me and if I stay motivated, I will keep going," Perez explained during an interview with ESPN.

If the Mexican no longer has the motivation to go for it all, he will also immediately say goodbye to the sport. According to Perez, there are more things in the world that he loves besides Formula 1. But for now, the teammate of Max Verstappen expects to stay for a while. Perez thinks he will remain an F1 driver for another five years.
