Sergio Perez has been encouraged by Racing Points recent progress and is optimistic for what the rest of the season will hold. Racing Point started the season relatively slowly but over the past few races, they have started to improve. They will hope that they can continue to improve and be a genuine threat to the midfield come the end of the season.
With the investment from Lawrence Stroll a new base for the team is being built and this has filled the team with the confidence to continue their recent performance.
“It definitely shows a good potential and is a solid move,” Perez told the official Formula1.com website this week.
“The team is in the best position it has ever been. These things take time but [the plan for the new factory] is really encouraging. It’s nice to see that the future is looking bright for the team.”
The team plans to increase its number of staff and expand the team further to improve their performances on track. The team are currently fifth in the constructor's championship and will hope to challenge McLaren for 4th come the end of the season.
