McLaren technical driector Andreas Seidl says that his team is in the ideal position to bring home another solid haul of points at the Mexican Grand Prix, with Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris lining up on the fourth row for Sunday evening's race. McLaren are a huge 43 points ahead of Renault in the race for P4 in the constructors' standings, and will be hoping to all but end any hope the French team have with another good race.
Sainz has been the star man outside the top three teams this season, scoring an incredible 76 points this season, with P6 and P5 in the last two races showing his talents behind the wheel.
Seidl said following qualifying: "Another very good qualifying session for Carlos and Lando together with the team maximising the potential of our cars. We continued our good form in Free Practice this morning and carried that momentum through into qualifying.
"Starting P7 and P8 puts us in a very good position tomorrow again to score good points. We are looking forward to another exciting Mexican Grand Prix, which might see some different strategies tomorrow potentially mixing up the order we have seen after qualifying."
