Much is expected from Mick Schumacher, but it has been far from plain sailing in F2 this season but the youngster has insisted he is learning from these tough times and still holds hopes of making it to F1, sooner rather than later.
Schumacher, the son of legendary F1 driver Michael Schumacher, is 14th in the Driver Standings in the Formula 2 series and has only scored 12 points in his last ten races. Schumacher finished sixth during the sprint race last time out at Silverstone.
Given his father's career, there is a lot of pressure on Schumacher to succeed in motorsport and he has been reflecting on his recent form and he wants to grow from it.
"No star has fallen from the sky," Schumacher told the DPA agency as quoted by Formula Passion.
"Obviously it was not easy and we had a bit of bad luck lately, but you learn more from difficult times.

"I think we are on the right track. We have shown that we have the speed and the potential to be in first place.
"Everyone has to go through difficult times, but I'm taking one step at a time."
Despite his mixed form this season Schumacher still hopes to get to the pinnacle of motorsport, sooner rather than later.
"I feel more and more comfortable in this environment and I hope that soon it will be time for me to switch to F1," he added.
