Mick Schumacher is well on his way to the Formula 2 title in this coronavirus plagued season. He also seems to have one foot in the cockpit of a Haas Formula 1 car for next season. He says he himself is ready for this next step.
In his first season in Formula 2, the youngest member of the Schumacher family didn't make an outstanding impression. He won a race in Hungary, but only finished twelfth in the final standings. This season, however, he has made a big step forward.

Schumacher concentrates on F2 title

"In recent years I have always strived to develop myself as a driver and I am also very satisfied with my progress," he says to t-online.de. "That's why I definitely feel ready for Formula 1. I am also very happy that the results are in order and that my team and I have consistently achieved good results. For this, it is important to continue to focus on the current season and become a champion."
Schumacher indeed owes his lead of over twenty points in the championship to consistent performances. He only managed to win twice this season, but of all the championship candidates he was the only one who managed to reach the podium on multiple occasions.
