Mick Schumacher's name is buzzing around the Formula 1 paddock and it seems like only a matter of time before he's announced as a Formula 1 driver for next season. His imminent arrival in the pinnacle of motorsport is a good thing according to Tom Coronel.
Michael Schumacher's son has had a meteoric rise over the last few years. The German won Formula 3 in his second season and is now on his way to winning the Formula 2 title in just his second season. Schumacher is in the spotlight, with a reported move to F1 with Haas and Alfa Romeo on the cards.

Schumacher to Formula 1

''Of course he has to drive in Formula 1. Not only because of his name, but this boy is also good enough for it. He is not at the top of Formula 2 for nothing and wins races there," said Coronel to Nu.nl. The Dutch racing driver says his surname has nothing to do with his chance in Formula 1.
''Some say he owes his career to his father's name and that Mick always needs a year of training in a new class. But I see that differently. If you can keep learning, you'll get better and better and in the end you'll be a very good driver," Coronel concluded.
