Mick Schumacher has insisted he is maintaining his focus on the first Formula 2 race of the season in Bahrain rather than his first test for Formula 1 team, Ferrari.
The son of Formula 1 great Michael Schumacher will make his debut for the Prema team this weekend but will also test for Ferrari where he is signed to their driver academy. Mick’s father won five world titles at Ferrari and a lot is expected of the youngster given his background.
Speaking at the Formula 2 press conference Schumacher remained focus on the task at hand, saying: “Before thinking about Ferrari it is important to keep the concentration for the Formula 2 weekend, the goal is to learn and grow.
“I'm excited when they told me I was going to the F1 Ferrari, I was elated.
“I prepared for the simulator and everything is happening so fast.
