Sainz gives Ferrari big compliment: 'Thinking outside the box'

Ferrari came out Thursday afternoon with the new car with which Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will take to the track this calendar year. The Spaniard reacted very enthusiastically during the unveiling.

While the Italian racing team has been working hard in recent months to make the 2022 car perfect, Sainz and Leclerc have been thinking frequently about the new car. Due to the rule changes, the car for the new season looks quite different from what the drivers are used to, making Sainz eager to get started.

Indeed, the driver has high hopes for the F1-75, as Ferrari has named the car. "I think it looks aggressive, it looks radical, and also beautiful. I just hope it's fast," commented Sainz, who is very enthusiastic about Ferrari's work. "It's different, it's thinking outside the box."

After the disappointing year of 2020, Ferrari has had a taste for it again since last season. The Italians managed to finish third in the constructors' championship in 2021 and hope to compete for prizes next season.
