Ryanair have rattled the
Formula 1 social media world again with a remarkable dig at
Charles Leclerc. The
F1 driver signed a new contract extension with
Ferrari on Thursday, which will see him remain with the Italian team beyond the 2024
Formula 1 season.
Ryanair are at it again
Ryanair, an Irish low-cost airline company, made themselves known in the F1 world with
several digs towards Sergio Perez and his performance in the Red Bull car last season. Now, the marketing team are showing their interest in Formula 1 again by reacting to
Ferrari's deal with Leclerc.
It is unknown when
Leclerc's contract will expire, but some suggest it runs until the end of the 2029 season. Ferrari announced a long-term deal with Leclerc in 2019, which still has one full season remaining, so the man from Monaco is not a stranger to signing long deals.
The company suggested the only thing Leclerc will win is the longest contract. Leclerc last won an F1 race in July 2022, taking his career tally to five. The Ferrari driver has 23 pole positions yet only managed to convert four into wins. That said, only one driver outside Red Bull won a race in the 2023 season. That driver was Leclerc's Ferrari teammate
Carlos Sainz.
