Russell takes surprising P3: 'We're going for the podium again tomorrow!'

Qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix ended up being one big surprise, thanks to the gamble George Russell took in Q3. The Briton managed to take a very strong third place for the Russian Grand Prix.

"It's crazy. I mean it's the second time in the top three in three or four events. The team have done an amazing job once again pitting at the right time and putting the right tyres on. It was tricky out there," Russell said after qualifying.

"I'm really looking forward to competing with those guys tomorrow. Our long-run pace yesterday was good. We're still way behind McLaren and Ferrari and of course Mercedes, who will start behind us. So we will have a nice fight ahead of us. We have good speed on the straights, so we will just go for the podium again. We have nothing to lose," concludes the young Briton.
