George Russell has visited his new team Mercedes' headquarters in order to try out his new seat. The Briton will make the long-awaited switch from Williams to the championship winning team of the past eight seasons in 2022.

No more sore feet

Russell has now had his seat for the new Mercedes W13 that will be presented Friday 18 February fitted. Russell is one of the taller drivers in the field, something that became clear during his one race stint with Mercedes at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix. At the time, the Briton only just fit into the Mercedes, and it left him with sore feet after every session.
What is interesting about the footage is that the Briton is still running around in a black racing suit, so the chances of a black livery are still there. Despite that, there are also some hints at a silver livery on the W13. The headrest around Russell is again silver instead of the black that Mercedes have used in recent seasons.
