Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell would probably love nothing more than to win the British Grand Prix in front of a frenzied crowd at Silverstone. This weekend, Formula 1 will be at the circuit near Milton Keynes. Russell and Norris have expressed to media what a possible victory at the legendary circuit would mean to them.

What would a win mean for Russell?

"Winning any Grand Prix is an incredible feeling. We both don't have many to our name, but to win your home Grand Prix is always the one that you dream of. We're so fortunate to have Silverstone as our home race because I truly think this weekend is really special for fans, the amount of support we all have here, they're proper F1 enthusiasts," Russell explained.
The last Grand Prix in Formula 1 was won by Russell. In Austria, the Mercedes driver crossed the line first as Max Verstappen and Norris combined to spoil the race by colliding. Russell would be only too happy to do it again. "We came here as kids to watch other F1 races so for sure it will always be special to get that opportunity."

Norris was also asked what it would mean to him should he win the British GP. "Ask me after. I don't know. It's always hard. You imagine your first win in general. It’s hard to know what you’re going to think, how you’ll feel until that moment arrives. It’ll mean everything. This has been my dream since I was a kid," Norris says.
Like Russell, Norris used to go to Silverstone to watch the king class of motorsport. "I was watching Lewis and Fernando back in 2007-2008 so seeing that and dreaming of being in that position and being here and having those opportunities is special enough. Standing on the top step, even standing up there last year in second place was already pretty amazing. So like George said, a lot of the same, but yeah I think it's better you ask us after."
