Robert Kubica is confident he will find a racing seat for the 2020 season if he wants to. The Polish driver is leaving Williams at the end of the season and although he hasn't confirmed anything yet, he says he will make a decision in the short term.
"Things are moving in the right direction but no decision has yet been taken," said Kubica to Motorsport.com. “We will see what next week brings and what it will yield. But at the moment there is nothing to report. Let me put it this way: if I don't race anywhere next year, that's my own choice. I am confident that I can race if I want to."
“It could, but not necessarily. A lot depends on the options and what I will do next year as the main program. As soon as my sporting program is broadly in line, I can see if I can also work with another party.
"As said, it mainly depends on how busy I am. Let us wait and see what is possible in the racing field, then we will see further. It is a matter of time before the decision is made. We still need time. "
