Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo has disagreed with his team's predictions, and the Aussie believes that a podium finish is "possible" at the United States Grand Prix this weekend.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has already admitted that their best two chnces of winning will be in Mexico and Brazil due to some of the characteristics of the car.
However, the departing Red Bull driver, Ricciardo believes that a top-three finish is still on the cards in Austin.
"I think we will have a decent car around here," Ricciardo revealed to Crash.net. "It is weird I haven't had any podiums (aside from wins) so I will try to make that happen.
"Last year, we had a pretty strong race but then we had to stop with some mechanical issues but it is definitely a fun track to race on.

"I enjoy Austin alone but the circuit is really good for racing as you can overtake and it's pretty unique. I'm happy if it is kind of wet for Friday and Saturday but I feel if the race is dry on Sunday, it will still be pretty exciting."
Ricciardo will be more desperate than ever before for a podium finish in Texas, with the soon-to-be Renault driver enduring his longest spell at Red Bull without a top-three finish (Monte Carlo, win).
