It had been coming for a while, but Thursday morning it became official! Daniel Ricciardo will ride for the British team McLaren from next year. The Australian driver will be the team mate of Lando Norris.
Ricciardo posted in a short reaction to his twitter that he is grateful to Renault for his time with the team and the way he has been accepted by the formation from France.
''I am so grateful for my time with Renault F1 team and the way I was accepted into the team. But we aren’t done and I can’t wait to get back on the grid this year. My next chapter isn’t here yet, so let’s finish this one strong. Merci'', Ricciardo wrote.
