Red flag: Antonelli home race heartbreak! Zandvoort repeat at Monza!

Mercedes team principal and CEO Toto Wolff, had previously stated that with Antonelli the team were experiencing more bad times than good. The painful streak has stretched out at Monza.

The young Italian was making his way around Lesmo 2 on a flier when he lost the rear and found himself beached in his Mercedes W16 in the gravel on the outside of the complex corner.

A similar incident took place at Zandvoort in FP1 where the rookie also beached his Mercedes drive with the session having barely started.
