Isack Hadjar wants to get back to racing as soon as possible after his disappointing Miami Grand Prix. Unfortunately for the Red Bull Racing driver, he will have to wait a couple of weeks before the Canadian Grand Prix. Hadjar had a weekend to forget in Miami. After being disqualified from qualifying, his race ended in the wall on Lap 6 on Sunday. For the first time this season, he also had a considerable gap to his teammate Max Verstappen.
Hadjar doesn't like having to wait weeks until Montreal
The Frenchman wants to get back to racing as soon as possible, he explained to GPblog, among others, after the race: "Yeah, I mean, that's what [I want to do]. I honestly I'm itching to get back to it. Like right now, I wish I was driving. I wish I knew what I could have done. It was a good start. So yeah, now having to wait three weeks is a bit rough."
He added: "We both, the team and I, made mistakes this weekend. It's been, honestly, a bit of a disaster from both our sides. So, yeah, we need to stick together and see what we can do the next weekend.
"Obviously, we're happy there's more performance in the car. It's not such a pain now to make it to Q3, which it was the first few rounds. So, yes, let's just look at the positives and we come back in Canada and hopefully we do a strong one."
Hadjar on his Miami GP crash
Addressing his frustrating incident, the
Red Bull driver said: "This was a tough one, obviously breaking the car is pissing me off a lot, and also it was easy points considering the car I had, so I just threw it all away. I can't really remember because it went by very quickly, so I don't have a very good memory of exactly what happened."It just felt like a big hit. I just didn't see it coming. And the car was broken, I went in the other wall, I couldn't stop it. It just shows how much you need to be focused, and I wasn't."
