Red Bull teach McLaren 'how to not get disqualified' after Las Vegas blunder

Red Bull Sim Racing couldn’t resist twisting the knife a little at McLaren’s expense.
The reigning esports world champions even took the chance to “teach” how to avoid a disqualification — in a tongue-in-cheek way — by sharing a short video on their Instagram profile.
In the clip, both the front and rear ride-height settings are cranked all the way up — an unmistakable nod to what happened last weekend in Las Vegas, where both MCL39s were thrown out for excessive skid-block wear.
Both Piastri’s and Norris’s cars were found to have worn the skid block beyond the permitted 9 mm limit, leading to an inevitable disqualification — and handing Max Verstappen the lifeline he needed to breathe new life into a title fight that had looked all but over.

Jos Verstappen gives take on McLaren's 'huge blunder'

The father of the four-time world champion branded McLaren’s situation “a huge mistake,” noting that Verstappen already knew about the looming disqualification even before leaving Las Vegas.
Jos also acknowledged, however, that Norris is still firmly in control of the title fight — the Brit only needs to finish second in all the remaining races to seal the championship regardless of what Verstappen does.
With two Grands Prix and a Sprint still to go, the Brit continues to lead the standings by 24 points over both Piastri and Verstappen — a cushion that’s still reasonably comfortable, but not enough for him to relax, even if he remains the clear favourite for the championship.
