Red Bull in talks with Albon replacement: "Perez and Hulkenberg only candidates"

After two bad races at the Nürburgring and Portimao, Alexander Albon needed an exceptionally good weekend in Imola to join his team for his seat in 2021. Again, however, he went home without points.
So time is running out for Albon. The expectation is that he will already make the season and only after that Red Bull will announce who will drive next to Verstappen at Red Bull Racing in 2021. So he still has four races to prove himself. If that doesn't work out, De Telegraaf says they already know for sure who the possible replacements will be.

Perez and Hulkenberg only candidates

"Should Red Bull Racing definitively choose to replace Alexander Albon after this season, Nico Hülkenberg and Sergio Pérez will be the only candidates to succeed him. The top team is in talks with both drivers," reports the newspaper from multiple sources.
Although he hasn't said it in so many words, the comments from Verstappen show that Hulkenberg is his preferred driver. The two speak Dutch with each other and get along well.
