Rain shows even stronger Ferrari: "It's an 'all-round' package"

Ferrari came out on top during the first practice session of the Emilia Romagna GP. The Italian team pulverized the competition during the wet session, showing that Ferrari is prepared for all conditions.
The rain stopped during the first few minutes of practice. The track was still very wet, but gradually the racing line dried up. While the times went down, it seemed to go especially fast for Ferrari. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc went up by almost two seconds at one point. The competition, including Max Verstappen with his Red Bull, could not keep up.

Ferrari is all-round

The gaps were so extremely large that not much good is expected for Ferrari's competitors the rest of the weekend. For Ferrari, however, things are looking particularly rosy. Racing driver and F1 analyst Naomi Schiff tells Sky: "I would have thought that in these conditions the field would be coming together. But that has clearly not been the case. Ferrari was just further forward."
According to Schiff, it shows a lot about the growth the team has made in recent years: "They have done a very good job over the last two years and this shows that they have prepared for multiple conditions. It seems that their car is an 'all-round' package."
