Raikkonen thinks he could've done even better than fourth place!

Alfa Romeo Racing driver Kimi Raikkonen impressively put his C38 on P5 in Hockenheim, but the Finn thinks he could've done even better, stating Pierre Gasly's P4 time was "within reach" for him.
The veteran topped the midfield with his lap on Saturday, leaving the Haas of Romain Grosjean and the McLaren of Carlos Sainz behind him. It's his best qualifying outing for his new team to date, but there was still more in it, he thinks, although he was happy with the result.
"Qualifying in fifth makes me happy but it’s only qualifying, the race is tomorrow," said the 39-year-old.
"The car has been pretty good today and I think we could have been a bit faster in Q3: maybe fourth place was within reach, but that’s racing."
With two Ferraris starting behind him, Raikkonen is aware he probably not finishing where he's starting, but that doesn't mean he won't be fighting for big points for his team in the midfield battle.

"We have to see if the rain comes and figure out the weather the best we can. It will be hard to race against the big teams; we’ll just take today’s result as it is, give everything tomorrow and see where we end up.”
