Kimi Raikkonen has apparently lost 3.2kg (0.5 stone) during the winter. This claim comes from his trainer.
It’s been no secret that Kimi has been much stronger this season and is edging closer to his best. He has been on the podium 3 times this year already, which should have been 4 had a pit-stop error not occurred.
If he is to get a race win, which is by no means impossible, it would be one of those classic things to happen.
His trainer, Mark Arnall explained to Iltalehti newspaper: “The winter season this year was about getting Kimi’s weight down.
“This winter I managed to get 3.2kg off Kimi. He now weighs just 70kg (11 stone).
“If they (F1 drivers) want the front of the car to turn better, they want more weight at the front, if they want more grip to the rear tyres, they shift the weight back. And if the driver weighs too much, it doesn’t work.”
Well, perhaps Kimi owes the majority of his 48 championship points to his trainer!
