Experienced Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso is ready to start his World Endurance Championship (WEC) campaign this weekend. He is reportedly “comfortable” ahead of his debut.
Alonso will continue with his Formula 1 commitments as they work alongside the WEC. He will be racing for Toyota and the campaign includes the Le Mans 24 race in the quest for the triple crown.
“I feel 100 percent comfortable and ready,” Fernando said to crash.net.
“From day one, I found a great group of guys that are very productive working with all of them.
“The team atmosphere is great. It’s something that is difficult to find in Formula 1. I think it’s probably the best part of the team, how everyone is a group here.”

In the WEC, the car is driven by 3 drivers in a single race. Fernando claims that the set up is perfect for the trio ahead of the opening round.
“When it’s good, all three drivers are saying it’s good.”
All eyes from his fans will turn to the WEC this weekend.
