Postponement of 'porpoising directive' small win for Red Bull: 'Still too early'

Red Bull Racing was one of the few teams not happy with the directive the FIA came up with just before the Canadian Grand Prix. The federation said it wanted to help the teams by relaxing the rules and thus reducing porpoising. Helmut Marko is happy now that the directive has been postponed.
As a team that suffered relatively little from the porpoising problem, it was unpleasant news for Red Bull that the teams would receive help to solve the porpoising problem. Max Verstappen, Christian Horner and Helmut Marko were critical of the decision in the media. The fact that the relaxation of the rules will now take effect later is a good sign, according to team advisor Marko.

Marko happy, but not yet satisfied

With the 3.1 per cent increase in the budget ceiling, which frees up around four million extra for the teams this year, it has also been decided to postpone the rule changes regarding porpoising from the French GP to the Belgian GP. Marko says in conversation with the Austrian Laola1.at "It is still far too early." So it's a small win for Red Bull that the directive is being postponed, but the team still doesn't seem to agree with the FIA's decision.
