Full results FP2 Austria: P1 and P2 for Ferrari, Verstappen P3

The second free practice session for the Austrian Grand Prix was not very exciting. Really fast times were not set, because it was mainly about race simulations. Carlos Sainz was the driver who clocked the fastest time.

Sainz was just faster than teammate Charles Leclerc. The Ferrari drivers were the most seen on track and drove about half a race distance in total. Max Verstappen was in third place ahead of the Alpines of Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon.

Sergio Perez was over half a second slower than Sainz's fastest time, but manages to keep both Mercedes on the soft tyres behind him. Mercedes had a nasty session, due to the crashes on Friday a lot of time was lost and Lewis Hamilton could only take the track for the first time fifteen minutes before the end of the session.
