Piastri sees a more difficult Monaco: 'Spanner in the works'

Oscar Piastri is expecting the Monaco Grand Prix to be much harder this year. He cites the new to pit stop rule as one of the reasons why.
Piastri started off by saying, "I still think 90 something percent of that Monaco is qualifying"

Two stop strategy makes everything more difficult

"I think it's very complicated now with these two stops. Also, just using three sets of tires because of red flags like we saw last year, it's not quite as simple as what it was."
"It's definitely going to throw a spanner in the works for everyone, but if you qualify on a pole, unless something goes dramatically wrong, it's going to be hard to be beaten."

"You can roll the dice a bit more, but there's a lot of strategic elements involved. Will it increase overtaking? No. But it will probably lead to a more complicated race."

When asked if he thought there would be less pace management going on, Piastri responded, "I don't know yet. It's hard to know. I think overall, probably yes."
"We won't see a race like we saw last year. But last year was effectively a no-stop race, so it will probably lead to a lot more pushing. How high that level is, we'll wait and see."
