Perez planning to put Monaco behind him

Sergio Perez had a disappointing weekend in Monaco last time out, and he plans on putting in a good performance this weekend to help him forget about it.
Perez did all the hard work on the Saturday by making it into Q3 but he didn’t make the most of this advantage as he went on to finish outside the points. To make matters worse for the Mexican, his team-mate finished deep inside the points.
“We didn’t get the result our pace deserved,” said Perez. “We had a problem at the pit stop and this completely ruined our race.
“In the second part of the race, we had good pace. Unfortunately, it was impossible to overtake. Esteban showed what we could do, and it feels like an opportunity lost.”
Force India have recently been stronger than the opening races of the season. They’ve moved up to 6th in the constructors' championship but still remain some distance from their target 4th place.
