Sergio Perez believes that Formula One has 'gotten used to him'. The Mexican has been in the sport since 2011 and is excited about the next chapter of his career.
Perez will race for Racing Point in 2019 alongside new teammate Lance Stroll. The 29-year-old has much more experience than his 2019 partner but believes he has grown much more since beginning his F1 career with Sauber.
"It's as if people have gotten used to me," he told Auto Bild.
"When I was new, everyone talked about me and I was the next big thing. In 2017 I finished the season best of the rest and I've beat all my teammates.
"With age you get more confidence, you know how things work."

Perez added that he has all the experience he needed ahead of the new season to lead them forward despite his new teammate being the son of the Racing Point team owner, Lawrence Stroll.
"I think experience helps in how you can direct a team, how you can build it around you, how much progress you can make with your car, with the setup."
