Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen were responsible for Red Bull Racing 's fourth double win this year. The Mexican is happy for his teammate and, of course, his team, but had hoped to go for the win himself.

Perez is always happy with a 1-2

"I think Max today was on another level," Perez begins his story with Sky Sports. He himself had a mediocre first stint on the mediums, which suffered quite a bit of degradation. "Max was a lot faster in that regard," the Mexican adds. Perez ran out of softs, which led to him deciding to go for mediums.
He had hoped to be in contention for the win, but second place was out of the question. "I will have to look at it," Perez told Viaplay. "But great team result and I always welcome a 1-2. I just have to understand and get to a better level, hopefully for Zandvoort and Monza and score much higher points. Hopefully, there are some victories ahead." The Red Bull Racing driver is focusing on scoring maximum points and hopes that there are still some wins ahead in the last eight races.
