Together with the two Mercedes, a third frontrunner car on paper was eliminated by Q2 in Monaco. Yuki Tsunoda finished only in P12 in qualifying.
It is another qualifying session to forget for the second Red Bull driver. Tsunoda could not improve on his final lap, and therefore was eliminated after Esteban Ocon in the Haas and the two Racing Bulls drivers could improve.
This is the third time the Japanese driver did not qualify for the final session of the Saturday with the RB21.
Meanwhile, Max Verstappen finished in P5 in Q2.
