This weekend it is time for the Mexican Grand Prix. There are still five races to go and because of that, the world championship is in its final phase. Many teams are already working on the parts for next year but there will still be some engine changes. Auto, Motor und Sport reports that Esteban Ocon, Lance Stroll and Lando Norris will get a grid penalty in Mexico.
The last few weeks have seen a lot of engine changes. Mercedes in particular has handed out quite a few grid penalties to its drivers, despite the fact that they are still very much engaged in the title fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. There is a good chance that the Mercedes engines of Lance Stroll and Lando Norris will also be changed sometime in the coming races. Furthermore, it is already fairly certain that Ocon will receive a grid penalty, according to the German magazine. The question is whether Mercedes will also change Hamilton's engine. This could have a big influence on the championship and the title fight.

Big influence on the championship?

Hamilton and Norris are probably not happy with this news because the British drivers are both fighting for points. The seven-time world champion is trying to take back the lead in the world championship, as Verstappen still has 12 points ahead. Meanwhile, the McLaren driver wants to make sure Ferrari doesn't take too many points, as McLaren is currently third in the constructors' championship. It's a close call, though, as Ferrari only need three and a half points to take that third spot away.
