Lando Norris has hit back at Red Bull Racing following their complaints about his actions during qualifying. The McLaren driver appeared to play a part in Max Verstappen aborting his final push lap during Q3 of the Singapore Grand Prix qualifying. “They complain about everything.”
- Lando NorrisNorris, who was quizzed about the incident during his post-qualifying interaction with the media, was quick to shrug off the matter, explaining that the Milton Keynes-based outfit always complains.
"They always complain. They complain about everything. That's Red Bull. I don't even know. I was like three seconds ahead. I can't work it out."
During the final qualifying session of the Singapore Grand Prix, Verstappen was forced to abort his final attempt for pole. The four-time world champion appeared to have locked up on his entry into the final corner before abandoning the lap, with his engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, referencing Norris, who was ahead of him, as the possible reason behind it.

Norris expected Verstappen's Singapore GP pace
Norris earlier admitted that he was not surprised by the pace of Verstappen and the Red Bull Racing outfit at the Singapore Grand Prix. The McLaren driver also alluded to the improvements made by rival teams as the reason for McLaren's recent loss of their dominant - and seemingly uncatchable - advantage.
The 25-year-old also emphasised that the Marina Bay Circuit had often proven to be a tricky race for the papaya team.
Having qualified in fifth place, Norris ultimately believed that
McLaren simply lacked the pace of the front-tunners.GPblog paddock update
