Lando Norris insisted he has no regrets over McLaren’s strategy following his fourth-place finish at the Qatar Grand Prix. “We thought we did what was correct.”
- Lando NorrisThe British driver, who spoke to GPblog following the conclusion of the race, stated the McLaren team did nothing wrong with their strategy despite missing out on victory.
“We did many things differently, but we thought we did what was correct, so nothing was wrong,” he said.
Further doubling down on his claim of not regretting the team’s strategy, Norris continued:
“I still had a long race ahead of me, so I had to focus and do my best.”

When asked about his radio message and whether he should have followed
Max Verstappen into the pit lane when others pitted on lap seven, Norris reflected:
“Probably, yeah. But both of us should have done it. I would have been ahead either way, you know, because we would have double-stacked, and potentially I would have lost a bit of time."
"I probably wouldn't have lost a position, I don't think. But yeah, it's something we'll go and talk about and review. You know, I also have to have faith that the team is making the right call, and that's what I heard today,” he concluded.
