Nico Hulkenberg expects to see fellow countryman Mick Schumacher in Formula 1 in the next two years. Michael Schumacher's son has impressed the world of racing and clearly has the talent to follow in his father's footsteps.
“I’m sure that we’ll see him in Formula 1 in two years at the latest,” Hulkenberg said in an interview with N-TV in Germany. “Of course, you have to see the conditions under which he will grow. The expectations are extremely high, this is not an easy situation.”
The young Schumacher has tested Formula 1 cars and is impressing in Formula 2, winning his first race in Budapest a few weeks ago.
“I’ll do my best to learn as much as possible. So that I’ll be ready when the time comes, and I’ll feel comfortable in any team,” Mick Schumacher said after his first F2 victory in Budapest.
Schumacher has a very close relationship with Ferrari and although there probably won't be a place at the team next year, perhaps 2021 could be an option for the youngster.
