Nicholas Latifi has been given more opportunities to drive the 2018 Force India car this season. The Canadian driver is currently the team's reserve driver and is set to drive in FP1 in Germany, taking over driving responsibilities from Esteban Ocon.
Having already completed a Friday practice session earlier in the season at his home event in Canada, Latifi expressed his excitement to once again get behind the wheel of the VMJ11
"Making my practice debut at home was a special feeling," he said after his first outing in Montreal.
"I'm still learning about the VJM11 and I had to learn the track so to keep my nose clean was important."
"I was leaving some margin to avoid doing something silly while I was still building my confidence,
"Jumping from an F2 car to a Formula 1 is always enjoyable.
"I am looking forward to other opportunities to be in the car in the future."
Latifi had been linked with a drive at McLaren next year after his father invested in the team earlier this year, however a McLaren spokesman quickly put those rumours to rest, insisting no drive for the Canadian was part of the deal.
