Haas caused quite a stir with their livery during the presentation of their car for this season, the VF-21. The team, sponsored by Uralkali, incorporated the Russian flag into their design. However, due to a doping scandal at the 2014 Winter Olympics, Russian athletes and sports teams are prohibited from competing under the Russian flag until 2023.
Mick Schumacher, who together with Nikita Mazepin will be the driver duo for the American team this year, remarked in conversation with Autosport.com Schumacher that he hopes the livery will give the team wings this year. "I think it's just the team colours. The car looks great. It looks feisty, it's a beast. And that's how we will operate as a team this year."

Perfect

Haas will start this season with a relatively inexperienced driver line-up and the preparation for the new season was anything but perfect. Schumacher is not pessimistic: "It's now about getting all the details right. I have to be perfect from now on and make sure I deliver perfection for the team every time I go out on the track."

Mick Schumacher and Mazepin will both take their seats in the VF-21 on Friday during the test.
