Mercedes pulls through the idea of black livery: Also FE team shrouded in black

On Wednesday 5 August Formula E will kick off again with the last few races of the season. Mercedes will finish the season just like in Formula 1, but in a different colour than the one with which the season started.

The Formula E season was already on its way when the coronavirus broke out. Where Formula 1 was just about to start, there were already five Formula E races. The Formula E season runs in two calendar years, with the start in November and the end of the season in summer. That is where the FE season will end this year as well.

Just like the F1, the FE will start again, but in one week the season will be over as well. The six races will all be held at the historic Tempelhof airport in Berlin. On 5,6,8,9,12 and 13 August the qualifications and races will be finished, to be able to finish a complete season.

Mercedes will finish its debut in Formula E in a different livery than the one with which it began. As in Formula 1, the FE team of Mercedes chooses a black livery in the fight against racism. In that black car Nyck de Vries and Stoffel Vandoorne will have to provide nice results, where they are now thirteenth and sixth in the standings, respectively.
